Citric acid powder is a natural cleaner, descaler and viricide which is commonly used throughout the cleaning, cosmetics and the food and drink industry.
Originally derived from citrus fruits like oranges, lemons and limes, most citric, including ours, is now manufactured using an industrial chemical process which you can read about here if you’d like to!
The main use for our customers is usually as a cleaner, descaler or viricide, but in the wider world it is often used in foods, cosmetics, detergents and much more.
It can also be used to remove surface rust in place of more harmful acids.
Our Citric is food grade so is safe to use in all applications which call for it’s use, be careful though, although citric is not harmful to humans, animals or the environment, if you get it in a cut it will sting!
We sell Citric Acid in 1 and 3 kg tubs in powder form, it can then be mixed with water to form a solution, the powder will go into the solution more readily if warm water is used.
