Customer Case Study

Bad Hand Coffee Advances Its Sustainability Goals with Wessex Chemical Factors

Independent roastery Bad Hand Coffee has long championed environmentally conscious practices, from sourcing beans responsibly to reducing packaging waste.

One challenge remained: traditional espresso machine cleaners were packaged in single-use plastics and offered little in the way of sustainable alternatives.

Through a collaboration we worked to find a solution, developing a high-performance cleaning

powder supplied in refillable tubs and home-compostable pouches, significantly reducing waste

without compromising quality.

β€œWessex solved a problem for us. They reformulated the product and delivered it in compostable packaging. They’ve been great to work with.” – Joel, Bad Hand Coffee

This partnership highlights how innovative thinking and shared values can deliver practical solutions that support both business needs and environmental responsibility.
